Apple asked us to develop and produce a series of promotional spots for the latest installment of the True to Tone series.
We were asked to collaborate with Apple to develop a series of promotional videos for the release of a curated collection of films and television series for their True to Tone series.
Each collection featured in this series is curated by a different Black creator and centered around a specific theme they have chosen. The featured creator was the writer, comedian, and executive producer for Abbott Elementary, Jordan Temple, with his theme of "The Black Funny-matic Universe."
The visual approach to our videos centered around the idea of filming a "Mockumentary" interview with Jordan as if he were doing a press junket run of interviews about his new "MCU-like" cinematic universe that is about to premiere.
Treating the second camera as the audience, we created organic opportunities for Jordan to inject his personality and humor into these videos in an unexpected way.
